Gregory Goodman has been admitted to practice law in the State of New York since 2003. He is the founding member of the Law Office of Gregory A. Goodman, P.C.
Mr. Goodman attended and obtained his undergraduate degree in political science from the University Of Washington, in Seattle, Washington. He then went onto law school at the State University of New York, Buffalo Law School and obtained his doctorate in Jurisprudence (JD) in 2002. While in Law School, Mr. Goodman was a member of the Buffalo Law School’s mock trial team, wherein he was competitively selected to compete against other law students from all around the country. In the fall, 2001, Mr. Goodman and his team won the regional semifinals and placed third in the National Finals.
Representing Injured Parties in Long Island
During law school, Mr. Goodman clerked for Hon. Justice John F. O’Donnell, and worked for the State Of New York Office of the Attorney General in the Medicaid fraud control unit. During his second-year summer, Mr. Goodman worked at the law firm Finz & Finz, P.C. and was actively involved in complex litigation, including tobacco litigation.
Mr. Goodman started his professional career as an attorney with the Queens District Attorney’s Office. As an assistant district attorney, Mr. Goodman worked in the Criminal Court Bureau and was involved in prosecuting and managing a 150+ caseload from inception to trial.
Thereafter, in 2004, Mr. Goodman joined the law firm as an associate and trial attorney. This firm focused exclusively on representing medical/healthcare providers in no-fault insurance litigation. As a trial attorney, Mr. Goodman conducted numerous bench and jury trials and actively engaged in prosecuting thousands of cases.
Millions Awarded to Clients
In 2005, Mr. Goodman founded a law firm with two other partners that represented medical healthcare providers in insurance litigation, particularly in no-fault insurance. This law firm collected hundreds of thousands of dollars for its clients. Mr. Goodman was the managing partner and was responsible for overseeing $18,000,000.00 a year in outstanding receivables.
In 2010, Mr. Goodman formed the Law Office of Gregory A. Goodman, P.C., which is a boutique law that helps clients with a variety of injury defense, insurance litigation and arbitration matters, consumer debtor defense matters, and general litigation matters.
